SHIPPING POLICY
The Gem Centre dispatches orders from our store in Inverell, New South Wales.
AUSTRALIAN DELIVERY
Our online checkout currently supports delivery within Australia.
Orders are generally packed and dispatched within 3 business days after payment is confirmed. Business days exclude weekends and public holidays.
Standard Parcel Post
• Up to 1 kg: $13.95
• Over 1 kg and up to 3 kg: $21.95
• Estimated Australia Post delivery time after dispatch: 2–6 business days
Express Post
• Up to 1 kg: $16.95
• Over 1 kg and up to 3 kg: $26.95
• Estimated Australia Post delivery time after dispatch: 1–3 business days
Delivery estimates begin after your order has been dispatched. They are estimates provided by Australia Post and are not guaranteed delivery dates. Remote locations, public holidays, severe weather and carrier disruptions may cause delays.
LARGE, HEAVY OR BULKY PRODUCTS
Shipping for selected large, heavy or bulky products is calculated at checkout using Australia Post rates based on the packaged size, weight and delivery destination.
Calculated rates may include a small packaging and handling charge to cover the additional materials and preparation required to send these products safely.
Some unusually large items or orders weighing more than 3 kg may require an individual shipping quote. If no shipping option appears at checkout, please contact us before placing your order.
TRACKING
Orders sent by Parcel Post or Express Post include Australia Post tracking. Tracking details will be provided after your order has been packed and dispatched.
EXTRA COVER
Australia Post parcel services generally include up to $100 compensation for loss or damage.
Additional Australia Post Extra Cover may be arranged at the customer’s cost. Please contact The Gem Centre before placing your order so we can provide a quote and arrange the appropriate cover.
Extra Cover is subject to Australia Post’s terms, conditions, eligibility requirements and limits. It does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
LOCAL DELIVERY AND STORE COLLECTION
Free local delivery may be available for eligible Inverell-area addresses and will appear as an option at checkout where applicable.
Free collection from The Gem Centre at 108 Byron Street, Inverell NSW 2360 may also be available. Please wait until we confirm that your order is ready before visiting the store.
DELIVERY ADDRESSES
Please check that your name, delivery address, postcode and contact details are correct before completing your order.
If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has been dispatched. Additional delivery charges may apply if an order is returned because an incorrect or incomplete address was provided.
DELAYS, LOSS OR DAMAGE
If your parcel is significantly delayed, lost or arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible. For damaged deliveries, please retain the item and all packaging and take clear photographs so we can assist with the Australia Post enquiry or claim process.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
International delivery is not currently available through our online checkout.
International customers are welcome to contact us before purchasing. We can advise whether the item can be shipped to the destination and provide a quote where possible. International shipping availability, costs, customs requirements, duties, taxes and product restrictions vary by destination.
